Travel

By Air

Linköping has a small airport (LPI) with regular flights to Copenhagen (CPH) and Amsterdam (AMS). Other alternatives include flying to Copenhagen (CPH), Malmö (MMX), Norrköping (NRK), Nyköping (NYO) or Stockholm (ARN/STO, BMA). If you do fly to Copenhagen, Malmö or Stockholm, expect a 3+ hour train ride. Norrköping airport is about an hour away by bus or train. Nyköping is a Ryanair hub with flights to many parts of Europe. There are direct busses to Linköping which take about 90 minutes.

By Train

Linköping is accessable by train from as far away as Oslo, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Malmö.

Traveling in Linköping

From the airport to the University

Since the airport is pretty small there is no bus line connecting it directly to the train station or to the university. To get to the train station you can walk a short distance and then take bus 17 to the train station.

Between the train station (resecentrum) and the university

There are two bus lines going between the train station and the university: 12 and 20. When heading to the university bus 12 says "Lambohov" and bus 20 says "Mjärdevi via Universitetet". Depending on the time of the day the stop is called "Universitetet Golfbanan" or "Universitetet". When heading to train station (Resecentrum) both buses says "Resecentrum".

Ryd to the university

There are no buses going directly from or to campus, so the best solution is to walk there, since it isn't far.

Ryd to the train station (resecentrum)

Take the bus line 3 "Resecentrum", which goes from Ryd to the train station.

Bus timetables

The timetables are also available here if needed. Line 12, 17 and 20 are the best ones.
